Target & Poison Plastic

Polyvinyl Chloride aka PVC or vinyl is one of the most poisonous materials ever created. It is poisonous to make, poisonous to use, poisonous to destroy and cannot be recycled. PVC is so poisonous that many corporations such as Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Wal-Mart, Crabtree & Evelyn, Victoria’s Secret, and Bath and Body Works have taken steps to phase out PVC packaging of their products. Yet despite all the facts, Target persists.

On May 24, 2007 many citizens in the Bloomington/Normal area stood out on Veteran's Parkway in front of the College Hill's Target store and waved signs condemning the use of PVC and begging Target to stop using the poison plastic.
