Bloomington/Normal Citizens for Peace and Justice Monthly Protests!
Bloomington, Illinois - On September 19, 2007, members of the Bloomington-Normal Citizens for Peace & Justice (BNCPJ) organization along with other members of the community gathered in front of the Bloomington Post Office on Towanda Avenue to protest the war in Iraq. The Bloomington/Normal group now holds an ongoing war protest on the 19th of every month. Support is growing in the community. The photos speak for themselves. A lot more people are joining the protest each month. There was a lot of support from citizens who were driving past also. Some people drove by and saw the signs and then turned around and came back past the crowd to honk and show thier support for what we were doing. It was uber kewl!
